About us
I started Mullan Racing Ltd October 2024. The reason I started the company was to provide affordable and environmentally conscious 3D printing. To open up access of these services to smaller organisations, while also still working hands on in the industry I love. With my varied experiences in motorsport it became clear to me that there was no need to lock up more modern approaches to problems behind the paywall of design staff and expensive out of house manufacturing. This is a new journey for me and hopefully you as a customer, so change and adaptability will be essential for Mullan Racing moving forward. I hope to provide a good quality service to all future customers and look forward to the challenge ahead.
A bit more about me. My name is James Mullan, I have worked in motorsport my entire working career. I have 18 years of experience working is various championships such as BTCC, WEC, IMSA, GT, Formula E, and Extreme E with good success and achievements in all. During my time as a Mechanic I have also developed many extra skills such as good subassembly practices, damper testing, fabrication, design, and 3D printing.
With 8 years experience doing WEC, IMSA, and GT racing I have tackled many aspects of pit crew, from wheel gun, wheel feeder, and car controller.
Career highlights for me are:
- 7 years with Rebellion Racing, pushing the limits of a privateer team against the might of some of the biggest manufacturers in endurance racing.
- 3 years with Mercedes-Benz Formula E, being part of such a great team and backing up our efforts with multiple championships was fantastic. Seeing how big manufacturers operated has taught me a great deal.
